Wayne has been appointed to work alongside Paul Taberner in managing the Coalfields Fund, which provides venture capital funding to high growth companies in the former coalfield regions across England.

Previously, Wayne was an Investment Director with Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity, where he had responsibility for investing across the North of England. Prior to that, Wayne was at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, where he advised companies, management teams and investors on a wide range of mid-market transactions.

Richard Bamford, Executive Chairman of EV, said, “We are delighted that Wayne has joined our team, which further enhances our capacities to both undertake investments for the Coalfields Enterprise Fund and to assist SMEs in the regions”.
