EV appoints new Investment Manager

Paul Ferguson joins Investment Management team

EV, the independent Preston-based venture capital company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Ferguson to its Investment Management team, as part of its planned ongoing recruitment and expansion.

Paul has been appointed as an Investment Manager to the Coalfields Fund, a £10 million venture capital Fund, managed by EV on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. The Fund provides equity and equity related funding to new and existing businesses in the former coalfield areas of England.

Previously Paul was a Corporate Director with a leading high street bank and more latterly, held the position of Investment Manager with the North West Equity Fund.

Richard Bamford, Executive Chairman of EV says, “We are delighted that Paul has agreed to join our team. He is a most welcome addition – his excellent blend of corporate lending skills and private equity experience is particularly suited to the Coalfields Fund’s investment activities and he will add greatly to Enterprise Ventures’ overall managerial capacities”.

Paul says of his appointment, “I am excited to be joining Enterprise Ventures and look forward to my new role seeking good investment opportunities and building a diverse portfolio of investments in areas previously reliant on coalmining”.
