Simon joined EV in 2009 as Investment Director and works from EV's Birmingham office, focusing on providing funding to companies located throughout the coalfields regions of the East & West Midlands and Southern England.
Simon joined EV from Octopus Investments where he worked on the Capital for Enterprise Fund in London. Simon has vast experience of the Midlands corporate finance market having worked in the region for some fifteen years; most recently an Investment Director with ISIS Equity Partners where, as well as covering the local intermediary market, he led its national sector focus on business services and financial services. Prior to this, he was a founding member of the Catalyst corporate finance team in Birmingham. He qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Nottingham and also worked for the leveraged finance team of Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
